NEAT Containers was borne out of a desire to create an affordable product not yet readily available on the market.
Husband and wife Andrew and Eve Hannah bought their dream property in Victoria’s Otways forest region but couldn’t find a shipping container conversion business that offered builds to suit their relatively small budget.
With nothing available they undertook the huge task of converting their own containers and put together a team to learn how to create a moisture-proof, warmly insulated and stylish container home without breaking the bank.
The NEAT vision is to provide high quality and functional spaces that are affordable and expertly finished. Shipping containers are a unique and readily available building product. The structural and environmental security of a container is second to none and it’s the obvious choice for a fast and reliable infrastructure product.
The first version has a low roof and no electrics. We cook outside and use a diesel heater to keep warm inside.
